The Kangso Cement Factory, North Korea, has completed a modernisation and capacity upgrade, according to the Korean News Service Ltd.
Additionally, the Kangso Factory is said to have increased kiln capacity and implemented various process changes to optimise the productivity of its production lines. Improvements to raw material supply, including limestone quarrying, have also been noted.
Cement production has also benefitted from a revised repair and maintenance programme, the report adds.
The Kangso Cement Factory is located approximately 15km west of North Korea’s capital city Pyongyang.
