Bangladesh's leading exporters have received National Export Trophies for the year 2016-17 in a event held in Dhaka on 1 September 2019. The country's Prime Minister, Shaikh Hasina Wajid, distributed the awards.

Exporters were awarded three kinds of trophies, Gold, Silver or Bronze. Bengal Group of Industries, the parent company of Bengal Cement, received two types of trophies for the export of different commodities including cement.

Jashim Uddin, vice chairman of Bengal Group of Industries, received the Gold Trophy and Firoz Alam, director, received the Bronze Trophy.
