Uzbekistan-based Akhangarancement has announced an increase in cement production for May 2018. The producer recorded a 2.7 per cent YoY increase to 175,024t in May, according to Uzbekistan Daily. The volume of clinker production also increased by 838t to 130,060t for the period.

Plant maintenance which began in November 2017 was also successfully completed in May, including repairs to the rotary kilns and cement and raw mills by company personnel.
