Duna-Dráva Cement Kft has announced that a HUF7bn (US$26.12m) project to improve sustainability at its facility in Vác, Hungary, has been completed. Construction work took place between 2016-18, with the newly-renovated plant inaugurated on 18 May.
The project has been successful in significantly reducing dust emissions, according to the Budapest Business Journal. A new filter system ensures that dust is contained, even in a malfunction or power outage.
