Cement consumption in Spain slipped by one per cent YoY to 747,416t in January 2016, according to Oficemen, the country’s cement association.
In light of the evolution of last month's data, Oficemen wants to make a fresh appeal to the different public administrations to take into account plans such as Crecimenta 20 · 30, recently released by the cement sector. "It proposed 25 measures to increase production and consumption based on proposals supported by the current context of budgetary restraint, which would help in the medium term in the recovery of our industry and in the creation of 7000 jobs," said Oficemen CEO, Aniceto Zaragoza.
