Iran exported over 8Mt of cement in the first five months of the Iranian calendar year, according to the country's cement industry body.

Abdolreza Sheikhan, secretary of Iran's Cement Industry Employers Association said 981,605t of cement were exported in the fifth calendar month (July 23-August 22), Iran's IRIB reported on Sunday.

The country has also successfully started to use railroads to export cement to neighbouring and Central Asian countries.
