Iran exported around 18Mt of cement in the Iranian calendar year that ended on 20 March 2014, IRNA cited a report published by the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade on Sunday.
 
The Tehran Times noted that the country’s annual cement output is currently about 80Mt, of which 50Mt is used domestically.

In August 2012, former Iranian Industry, Mines and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari said that the country's cement production capacity would reach 110Mt by 2015.
