Akhangaracement JSC, part of the Eurocement Group, produced 1.176Mt of cement and 853,503t of clinker in the first nine months of the year, up 1.61 per cent and 7.66 per cent YoY respectively.

During the Jan-September period, the company said in a statement that it shipped 1.198Mt of cement, a rise of 0.97 per cent compared to the same period of the year before. It also observed an increase in bagged sales of 5.96 per cent as it dispatched 248,484t in 50kg bags over the first three quarters of the year.

Akhangaracement ships most of its products by road in Uzbekistan, which during the reporting period accounted for 81.6 per cent of sales (976,669t), while 18.4 per cent was delivered by rail (220,543t) primarily for export.
