Ecuador cement sales increased by 11.3 per cent in the first eight months of the year, according to the latest statistics from the Instituto Ecuatoriano de Cemento (INECYC).

For the January-August 2013, accumulated dispatches totaled 4.271Mt compared to 3.836Mt in the same period of the year before.

In August alone, sales climbed to 579,080t versus 557,125t in the same month of 2012, representing a 3.9 per cent increase.
