Bangladesh cement producers are searching for new exports markets in a bid to extend their current reach and increase utilisation levels.

Our cement export is fully dependent on north-eastern states of India, and now we are searching new destinations", Additional Managing Director of Crown Cement Alamgir Kabir told the Financial Express. “We have invited a number of new buyers to visit Bangladeshi cement industries and received a good response from the new destinations," he added.

Currently, modest amounts of cement are shipped to northeast India and Myanmar, with the main exporters being Shah Cement, HeidelbergCement Bangladesh, Seven Circle, Unique Cement, MI Cement, Confidence Cement, Premier Cement and Aramit.
